Grandpa Lou! Grandpa Lou! ROAD TRIP! We are going to Ggrandma's! We get to take the ferry...
Okay Ms Geri, settle down, settle down, we can’t go until we pack our stuff. Are you packed?
Oh Grandpa Lou, I don’t need anything extra, I have my hoodie and ready to hit the road, so let’s go!
Wait Ms Geri; grab our travel bag we need a few important things to take with us. You never know what the future will bring. We should bring our first aid kit. It does not take up much room and has it own nylon pouch. It carries things like: First Aid Ointments, Gauze Pads, Eyewash Vial, Pet First Aid Instructions, Insect Sting Relief Wipes, Conforming Gauze Bandage, Tweezers, antiseptic Towelettes, Roll of tape, and more. We could step on a sharp rock on the beach and need to be bandaged up, or stung by an insect, or twist a paw while chasing balls and sticks and need it stabilized. Let’s be prepared since safety comes first. In fact, we should also have our medications, a copy of our current vaccinations and photos of ourselves in the kit. Ms Geri, you do not need a signed 8x10 photo of yourself...grab a smaller one. Geesh....pugs!
Oh Grandpa Lou you are always so practical. I guess then I should also pack my favourite booties so that I can walk on the ferry deck. There is always fuel and chemical residue on the deck surface that irritates my dainty paws. I love to strut out on the deck. People just love me and my wiggly walk! I am so gorgeous; I can feel wind in my fur now.
Don’t forget Ms Geri that in our travel bag we have room for your most important thing....dog treats!!
Dog treats, yippee! Maybe we should pack some food and water in it too, along with my favourite blanket. I suppose you are going to bring that hideous looking stuffie you carry around.
You bet, and an extra body suit in case I get cold. It is still too cool and damp out there for me. These travel bags sure carry a lot of stuff and don’t take up much room. I like the colours; it makes it easy to spot in the car. Come on Ms Geri, stop primping, your fur is fine. Mom is starting the car. ROAD TRIP!!
