Dogs in Weddings!

Yet another blog from the point of view of Ms Geri and Grandpa Lou:

Da da dada...da da dada.....

Ms Geri, what is that awful sound you are making?  Are you okay?

Oh Grandpa Lou, I am humming 'here comes the bride'. It is my favourite tune.  Just think pretty soon it will be time for weddings.  I just love to get dressed up in my finery.

Well Ms Geri, you do clean up rather well. Myself; I have used the word before and will use it again because it is true: I look very 'debonair’ in my tux. The ladies swoon at my paws when I walk by.  I have quite a collection of styles now.  I have my traditional black and white tux, my tartan tux; but my favourite is my Scooby tux!  I am prepared for any occasion.

Oh Grandpa Lou I just love the fact that people are including pets in their wedding ceremonies! To be able to walk down the aisle carrying the rings is so romantic!  Just like in my favourite movie '27 Dresses', when George proposes to Tess and Gatsby is carrying the ring on his collar, just like a ring bearer....*sigh*.  He is so handsome.  I am always the flower girl...never the bride.  Oh well, white is not my colour anyway; it is just not slimming enough for me.

Have you seen my new collar cover rosettes?  They are gorgeous.  Now I have something to jazz up my looks when you wear your bow ties.  Just think Grandpa Lou, this means for all occasions, special or not, we can look good too!  The sky is the limit with all the different neckwear available.  We have bow tie covers, dog cowls, bow ties, scrunchies, and Christmas neck wear.  We are fashionable all the time!

Come on Grandpa Lou, let’s dance, do you hear the music?

No thanks Ms Geri, I have seen you dance. It is a lot like Elaine in the Seinfeld episode. I am going to cruise the dessert table....
